Everything was going so well, and then the financing wasn’t going so well. There’s still a chance that we may be able to get financing, but there’s also a chance that it might not happen. The matter is wholly undecided, but we are feeling pretty discouraged.
It’s all a matter of timing. We know we can afford this house, but we can’t prove as much to lenders. We know we will have a down payment, but it might become available just a little too late. To add insult to injury, it would probably cost us more to rent an apartment because we would have to rent additional climate-controlled storage for the books.
One way or another, it will all work out. I’ll just be holding my breath until I find out whether it will work out the way I would prefer.
