I wish I had the wherewithal to write a clever and insightful blog post about something in my Categories list that isn’t “life” but at the moment, life overwhelms any attempts at being thoughtful about those things. Everything is about complexity, but not in the way that I’ve studied. The home buying process is moving right along, with a good inspection and lawyer’s approval (that’s how they do it in New York State - with lawyers) and the next thing will be the mortgage application. It’s fast and slow and stressful and exciting all at once.
In the face of a long-distance move away from everyone I know, I’m glad to have a well-established online social network. While I can’t keep up with everyone, I will be able to keep up with a lot more of my social network despite the intervening miles. As long as they keep Twittering and blogging and counting steps and posting to Flickr, that is.
