I accepted the offer of admission and first-year fellowship from Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies today. I’m really excited to be able to continue my studies, and the new environment will be good for me. Graduate study at two top-notch information schools can only be beneficial to my future endeavors; it immediately doubles my social network in the academy, and anyone who studies social networks will know that this is a good thing.
Since my high school valedictorian days, I’ve been a Big Red, a Scot, a Wolverine, and starting in the fall, I’ll be an Orangewoman. It seems almost strangely coincidental that my current knitting project is a shiny orange pullover:
